Pawan Kalyan Sedition Case: Kalvakuntla Kavitha Demands Revanth Reddy Government to File Case Against AP Deputy CM

Telangana Rakshana Sena Party President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has launched a fierce attack on Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan, demanding that the Telangana government file a sedition case against him. Speaking at a round-table conference organized by her party’s district unit in Karimnagar, Kavitha questioned why the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy-led administration has failed to take legal action against the actor-politician for allegedly comparing Telangana regional ideology to terrorism and separatism.

The controversy stems from remarks Pawan Kalyan reportedly made during the Sena Prasthanam event in Delhi and subsequent press conferences around Telangana Formation Day on June 2. Kavitha alleged that Pawan Kalyan attempted to incite regional hatred and humiliate the people of Telangana by labelling regional activists as separatists and extremists. “Did Telangana activists ever say they would secede from India? Even during the peak of the statehood movement, no one spoke of separatism,” Kavitha noted, adding that the state government is displaying weakness by letting outside leaders insult local sentiments on Telangana soil.

Sharpening her critique of the Congress-led state administration, Kavitha accused the Telangana police of practicing double standards. She questioned why local citizens and Singareni workers face swift police action for minor incidents, while political figures and actors from Andhra Pradesh are given a free pass to make inflammatory remarks. Furthermore, Kavitha stated that the Revanth Reddy government is treating the sacrifices of Telangana martyrs as an insignificant issue, highlighting the absence of a Telangana Talli statue in Karimnagar as a glaring example of neglecting the state’s cultural ideology.
