India restrict Zimbabwe to 125 in first T20I

India’s young bowlers produced an impressive performance in the first T20I against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club. With disciplined bowling, Team India restricted Zimbabwe to 125/7 in their allotted 20 overs, setting a target of 126 runs for India.

Wesley Madhevere was the top scorer for Zimbabwe with 39 runs, while Marumani scored 27 and Ryan Burl added 26 runs.

For India, Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav picked up two wickets each. After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, India got off to a dream start when Mayank Yadav dismissed Brian Bennett off the very first ball of the innings. He later sent Dion Myers back to the pavilion as well. Prince Yadav also bowled brilliantly, dismissing Ben Curran and Brad Evans to play a key role in India’s strong bowling display.
