Transport and Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that the construction of the Saidabad Steel Bridge, one of the key infrastructure projects undertaken by the Telangana government to address traffic congestion in Hyderabad, has been completed. Along with Minister Azharuddin, he inspected the newly constructed Saidabad Steel Bridge and reviewed the final-stage works of the Moosarambagh Bridge. Several local public representatives and senior officials also participated in the inspection.
Built at an estimated cost of around ₹680 crore, the modern steel bridge will provide improved connectivity from the Chanchalguda Jail premises to Owaisi Hospital and towards Champapet. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the bridge would be inaugurated and dedicated to the public by the Chief Minister shortly.
Once opened, the bridge is expected to provide significant relief from long-standing traffic problems faced by residents of Saidabad, Santosh Nagar, Chanchalguda and Champapet. It is also expected to improve connectivity between these areas and significantly reduce travel time, particularly during peak traffic hours.
