Telangana Minister for Information Technology and Industries Sridhar Babu announced that the state government is implementing several transformative digital initiatives to make governance faster, more transparent, and technology-driven. Speaking at the AI Transformation Conclave – Telangana, jointly organized by GOVconnect and Electronic Services Delivery (MeeSeva), the minister said that the Digital Assembly and Digital Council will soon be launched as part of the complete digitalization of the State Legislature and Legislative Council.
He said the government is promoting paperless administration across departments through the Digital Office Project. To prevent document fraud, Telangana will also introduce secure blockchain-based certificate services in the near future. The minister added that advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics are being widely integrated into governance to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Highlighting the government’s focus on rural digital empowerment, Sridhar Babu said the T-Fiber project aims to provide high-speed internet connectivity to more than 8 million rural households across the state. He also announced that a new doorstep service delivery system for senior citizens and persons with disabilities will be introduced soon. Additionally, the government is developing a Real-Time Government Dashboard that will integrate over 20 major departments onto a single platform to continuously monitor the implementation of government schemes. The conclave was attended by several senior officials and experts, including representatives from the Maharashtra CMO, Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), and the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mission.
