Former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi’s ideals continue to inspire the younger generation, said Siddipet Congress constituency in-charge Poojala Harikrishna and town president Athu Imam. They said Rajiv Gandhi’s contribution to building a modern India will always be remembered.
On the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary, Congress leaders and party workers paid floral tributes at his statue near Ponnala in Siddipet. The programme was organised under the leadership of town president Athu Imam, with party leaders recalling Rajiv Gandhi’s contributions and public service.
The leaders said Rajiv Gandhi worked towards giving greater importance to youth in politics and involving them in the country’s development. They called upon young people to actively participate in politics and social service while carrying forward his vision and ideals.
