Head Constable M. Chandrarao has received widespread appreciation for his bravery after rescuing a passenger who was trapped under a train during a critical situation. Chandrarao, who is serving at the Yelamanchili Rural Police Station, was specially commended by Anakapalli District Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha, IPS, for his courageous act.
The incident occurred near Tuni Railway Station, where a passenger accidentally fell under a moving train and suffered serious injuries. The injured passenger became trapped between the railway tracks in a dangerous situation. On noticing the victim, Head Constable Chandrarao immediately stepped in without hesitation.
Putting his own safety at risk, Chandrarao went under the train and successfully brought the injured passenger to safety. He later helped arrange for the victim to be shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. His quick response and courage have earned appreciation from senior police officials and the public.
