In a significant escalation of internal strife within the Kalvakuntla family, Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has once again launched a scathing attack on her brother and BRS leader, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR). Speaking at a meeting with various social organizations in Hyderabad, Kavitha questioned KTR’s accessibility during the BRS’s ten-year rule. She mocked his recent plans for a Padayatra (foot march), asking, “Why didn’t he go among the people for ten years while in power? Do you think the public will believe him now?”
Kavitha announced the beginning of a new political journey centered on the concept of “Social Telangana,” where power is distributed among all communities. She claimed that her troubles began the moment she started advocating for inclusive governance. Despite being suspended from the BRS, Kavitha asserted that her struggle would continue until social justice is achieved. She revealed that several Bahujan organizations, including followers of Maroju Veeranna and Dalit Bahujan bodies, have pledged their support to her cause, boosting her confidence in this new path.
Adding a controversial twist to the state’s political landscape, Kavitha claimed that several former BRS MLAs are currently in touch with her and promised to reveal their names at an appropriate time. She also mentioned that special prayers were recently performed in Varanasi to ensure the success of her new political endeavor. As the rift between the siblings widens, the political discourse in Telangana is shifting toward a battle between established party leadership and Kavitha’s emerging social coalition.
