The much-anticipated collaboration between Global Star Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana, titled ‘Peddi’, has entered its final leg of production. Director Buchi Babu recently confirmed that only six days of shooting remain before the project is wrapped up. Sharing a celebratory selfie with Ram Charan from the sets, the director expressed his deep emotional connection to the project, stating that ‘Peddi’ is a character that has profoundly inspired him and one that he truly loves.
‘Peddi’ is being mounted as a high-octane rural sports action drama on a pan-India scale. Ram Charan will be seen in a never-before-seen “rough and rustic” avatar, portraying a Pahilwan (traditional wrestler). The actor has undergone a significant physical transformation for this titular role. Starring alongside him is Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, while Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar and veteran actor Jagapathi Babu play pivotal roles in this ambitious cinematic venture.
The technical brilliance of the film is bolstered by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, who is providing the musical score. Jointly produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers, and Sukumar Writings, the film’s talkie portion is already complete, with only a final song shoot currently underway. With filming set to conclude within a week, the team is shifting focus to post-production to ensure the film is ready for its grand theatrical release in June 2026.
