Kodangal to be Transformed into a “Golden Piece”: CM Revanth Reddy’s Visionary Pledge

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, during his visit to his home constituency Kodangal, laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple with an estimated budget of ₹110 crores. He described the temple as the “Tirupati of the poor” for devotees across Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, assuring that all rituals would strictly follow the Agama Shastra traditions of Tirumala. The CM emphasized that his goal is to transform Kodangal from a mere constituency into a model “Nandanam” (heavenly garden) and a “Golden Piece” for the entire country to admire.

Reflecting on his journey, the Chief Minister credited his political rise to the tireless efforts of local workers and the blessings of the people. He outlined an ambitious plan to turn Kodangal into an education hub within the next year and a half, highlighting the establishment of medical and engineering colleges and a Sainik School. He stated that his administration is working 18 hours a day to ensure welfare schemes like farmer loan waivers and the Rythu Bharosa reach every household, marking a significant shift for a region once known primarily for labor migration.

On the industrial and agricultural fronts, the CM provided a clear roadmap, including the completion of the Narayanapet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme within 18 months to bring Krishna waters to the local fields. He also announced the development of an industrial park across 2,300 acres at Lagacharla and the commencement of cement industry works within six months to generate local employment. Calling for unity across political lines, he urged all local leaders and sarpanches to prioritize development, vowing to complete all pending projects by December 2027 to make Kodangal the leading constituency in the state.
