AP Govt and Google Sign Landmark Agreement: Special Task Force Approved…

The coalition government of Andhra Pradesh is taking strategic steps to position the state as a global leader in technology and digital infrastructure. As a major milestone in this vision, the AP government has signed a landmark partnership agreement with international tech giant Google. To ensure seamless execution and accelerate technological growth across the state, a specialized Joint Task Force will be established to oversee the collaboration.

The agreement was set in motion during a high-level meeting in Singapore between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nari Chandrababu Naidu and Karan Bajwa, the President of Google Asia-Pacific. The strategic discussions led to a foundational understanding focused on massive mutual cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (), cloud computing, and digital governance.

Core Focus Areas of the Partnership

  • AI and Data Center Hub: Chief Minister Naidu requested comprehensive technical backing from Google to transform Andhra Pradesh into India’s premier destination for AI and advanced data center infrastructure.

  • Project ‘Sanjeevani’: The integration of Artificial Intelligence will be prioritized to optimize public service delivery, streamline administrative departments, and effectively drive the implementation of the state’s prestigious ‘Sanjeevani’ project.

  • Global Skill Development: To address unemployment and empower the youth, the partnership will introduce specialized training programs in AI and cloud technologies, equipping local students with internationally recognized certifications.

Additional Focus on Logistics and Sustainable Development

Beyond the tech landscape, the high-level delegation focused on reinforcing the state’s logistical and urban infrastructure. Chief Minister Naidu met with representatives from the renowned YCH Logistics Group to discuss the establishment of supply chain networks and modern logistics parks, leveraging AP’s extensive coastline, strategic ports, and robust transit links.

Furthermore, during a meeting with the Executive Director of UN-Habitat, the Chief Minister proposed setting up a UN-Habitat Center of Excellence in Andhra Pradesh. This initiative aims to foster global knowledge sharing to drive sustainable urban development across the state’s growing cities. The strategic meetings were attended by Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana along with other senior state officials.
