NEET Re-Exam: Andhra Pradesh Government Announces Free Bus Travel for Candidates

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major welfare initiative for students appearing for the nationwide NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21. AP Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy revealed that the state government is offering a 100% free bus travel facility on all state-run transport buses to ensure that students can travel smoothly and reach their designated examination centers well on time. To avail of this cost-free travel benefit, candidates simply need to show their official NEET re-exam hall tickets to the bus conductors.

The Transport Minister specified that this free travel privilege is valid across multiple categories of APSRTC services, including Palle Velugu, Ultra Palle Velugu, Express, Metro Express, and City Ordinary buses. Official directives have already been dispatched to all regional bus depots across the state to ensure seamless coordination. Furthermore, the transport department is setting up dedicated help desks at major bus stations and appointing special supervisors at every exam center to systematically monitor commuter rush and deploy extra bus services wherever necessary.

This stringent re-examination has been organized following the cancellation of the initial NEET-UG test over nationwide paper leak controversies. To guarantee absolute transparency and prevent malpractice this time around, the central government has implemented proactive safety protocols, including temporarily blocking the messaging platform Telegram until June 22. Concurrently, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has strongly dismissed recent social media rumors alleging a second paper leak, warning of severe cyber-legal action against those spreading fraudulent information.
