Chandrababu Unveils Vision for ‘Golden Kuppam’ with Jobs and Industrial Growth

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said his government is committed to transforming Kuppam into a “Golden Kuppam” through large-scale development initiatives. Addressing a public meeting during his visit to the constituency on Saturday, he said efforts were underway to rewrite Kuppam’s development story and stressed that there should never be a situation requiring him to move away from the constituency.

The Chief Minister announced that several major industries and projects are being established in Rayalaseema, creating employment opportunities for nearly 80,000 people in the Kuppam constituency. He said the Adidas manufacturing unit alone would provide jobs for around 20,000 people, while dairy, poultry, and food processing industries would further strengthen the local economy. He also assured support for poultry farmers and highlighted micro-irrigation as a key driver of agricultural growth.

Chandrababu said the government plans to develop Rayalaseema into a horticulture hub with investments worth ₹1 lakh crore, including ₹60,000 crore from the private sector and ₹40,000 crore from the government. He urged farmers to focus on commercial and vegetable crops for higher incomes and reiterated his goal of making Kuppam a model constituency. He also emphasized the future of electric mobility, stating that only air-conditioned electric buses would be introduced, and called for mutual respect among all religions, saying attacks on people based on faith are unacceptable.
