Kadambari Jethwani objects to CID chargesheet

Mumbai actress Kadambari Jethwani has strongly objected to the contents of the chargesheet filed by the CID in connection with cases registered in Vijayawada. In a video statement, she alleged that she and her family members were unfairly harassed and claimed that false cases were deliberately fabricated against them in Andhra Pradesh in 2024. She further stated that during the investigation, her statements and arguments were ignored and the facts were distorted.

Jethwani said that after a prolonged legal battle of nearly two and a half years, her family was eventually found innocent. However, she condemned the CID for making baseless allegations against her in what she described as a 20-page chargesheet. She also accused certain media organizations of spreading false narratives regarding the case.

Clarifying the financial transactions, Jethwani said that the Rs. 4.5 lakh deposited into her account by Kukkala Vidyasagar was payment for work she had completed and was voluntarily paid by him. She explained that she contacted him only regarding pending dues and insisted that these were not criminal transactions. She expressed anguish that this minor transaction was portrayed as Rs. 1.32 crore and that the chargesheet used serious terms such as “false rape case threats,” “blackmail,” and “racket,” which she called a grave injustice against an unmarried woman.
