Hyderabad traffic police have issued a key alert for motorists as a one-way traffic system will be introduced around KBR Park from August 18. The decision has been taken to regulate traffic amid ongoing construction of underpasses and flyovers in the KBR Park area. Police said the one-way system will remain in place until the construction works are completed.
Under the new arrangement, vehicles will be allowed to travel in only one direction on the two roads surrounding KBR Park. Traffic police have made arrangements to allow traffic on the two roads connecting Jubilee Hills Check Post towards Panjagutta. Necessary infrastructure and traffic arrangements for implementing the one-way system have already been completed.
A trial run of the one-way traffic system was previously conducted on the same route and was reportedly successful. Following the trial, authorities decided to implement the system fully from August 18. Commuters have been advised to take note of the new traffic arrangements and plan their routes accordingly.
