HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath Faces Contempt Proceedings by Telangana High Court

HYDRA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath has faced a setback from the Telangana High Court over demolition activities carried out in Hyderabad. The court has initiated contempt proceedings against him in connection with allegations that demolitions were conducted in violation of its earlier orders.

The case relates to the demolition of buildings belonging to the Vani Cooperative HGS Society. Taking serious note of the matter, the High Court decided to take up the issue suo motu. The bench expressed strong displeasure over the use of heavy machinery for demolitions despite court orders reportedly being in force.

The High Court subsequently issued notices to Commissioner Ranganath in connection with the alleged violation. The development has drawn attention as HYDRA continues its actions against alleged illegal constructions and encroachments across Hyderabad.
