Polavaram: A tragic road accident occurred on National Highway 30 between Boddugudem and Vidyanagaram villages in Chintur mandal on Friday night, when a lorry and a car collided. The car caught fire and was completely gutted in the accident. Two people were travelling in the car, and one of them was burnt alive.
The other person was seriously injured in the crash and later died while undergoing treatment. According to preliminary details, the two victims were travelling from Bhadrachalam towards Chintur in the car. At the same time, a lorry was travelling from Odisha towards Bhadrachalam via Chintur.
The accident occurred at a sharp bend on NH-30 between Boddugudem and Vidyanagaram villages when the two vehicles collided. The incident caused panic in the area, and further details regarding the identities of the victims and the exact cause of the accident are awaited.
