A shocking incident in Delhi has left a 31-year-old software engineer dead following a minor dispute between him and his wife. The victim, identified as Vinay Gupta, was allegedly beaten to death by his in-laws on Saturday. The incident reportedly began after an argument between Vinay and his wife Rekha over giving medicines to their child.
Following the dispute, Rekha allegedly called her family members and left the house. Around 10 minutes later, she reportedly returned with her two brothers, sister-in-law, father, maternal uncle and other relatives. Vinay’s parents were also present at the house when the group arrived. During the confrontation, Vinay’s mother reportedly stepped out briefly to arrange water and other necessities for the visiting relatives.
When she returned, she allegedly witnessed the group assaulting her son. Despite her attempts to intervene and stop the attack, the assault reportedly continued. Vinay sustained serious injuries and later died. The incident has shocked the local community, while further details regarding the circumstances of the attack and any police action are awaited.
