Steps towards establishing an airport in the commercially and strategically important Adilabad region are gaining momentum. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy held a high-level review meeting in New Delhi on the progress of the Joint User Airfield (JUA) project along with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu.
Several key decisions were taken during the meeting to advance the project. The proposed airport is expected to improve air connectivity in the region and support commercial and strategic requirements.
The project is also seen as an important step towards fulfilling the long-standing demand of people in the erstwhile Adilabad district and across North Telangana. Authorities are working to accelerate the process and move the airport project forward.
