Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on BRICS countries to find appropriate solutions to the conflicts escalating across the world. He made the remarks in his opening address at the BRICS 2026 annual summit, which began at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Modi stressed that the Global South should no longer remain limited to simply following existing global rules. He said these countries should work towards becoming a stronger force capable of shaping new rules for the world.
The Prime Minister highlighted the need for BRICS nations to play a constructive role in addressing global challenges. He called for greater cooperation and collective efforts to promote peace and stability worldwide.
