Malayalam cinema has delivered another major box-office sensation. Starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, ‘Bethlehem Family Unit’ has reportedly achieved massive overseas collections within just 24 days of its release. The film has earned around $14.08 million (approximately ₹134.6 crore) in overseas gross, emerging as a major blockbuster internationally.
The Middle East has once again proved to be a strong market for Malayalam films. ‘Bethlehem Family Unit’ reportedly collected $7.65 million across the Middle Eastern markets. The film also performed strongly in North America with $2.35 million, the UK and Ireland with $2.224 million, Australia with $0.889 million, Germany with $0.423 million and New Zealand with $0.200 million. Overall, its overseas gross has reached approximately $14.08 million, equivalent to around ₹134.6 crore.
With these numbers, the film has reportedly secured the second-highest overseas gross in Malayalam cinema history, behind ‘Empuraan’, which earned around $16.9 million overseas. In Kerala, ‘Bethlehem Family Unit’ has collected approximately ₹138.41 crore, while its collections from other parts of India stand at around ₹32.80 crore. With a reported worldwide gross of ₹305.80 crore, the film is being hailed as a historic milestone for Mollywood and one of the biggest Malayalam grossers ever.
