MLA Bode Prasad Chases Down RTC Bus, Warns Staff Against Bringing Bad Name to Government

Penamaluru TDP MLA Bode Prasad expressed severe anger at an APSRTC bus driver in Krishna district for ignoring passengers waiting at a bus stop. The incident occurred at the Kankipadu cinema hall center, where several commuters were waiting. Observing the bus pass by without stopping, the MLA, who was traveling in his car right behind it, chased the bus, overtook it, and blocked its path to force it to a halt.

After stopping the vehicle, the MLA boarded the bus and strongly reprimanded the driver and conductor for their negligence. He pointed out that while the state government is ambitiously implementing the free bus travel scheme for women, the irresponsible behavior of some RTC staff is bringing disrepute to the government. He questioned why they didn’t stop despite having space inside and warned that such actions cause unnecessary public resentment toward the ruling administration.

When the RTC staff attempted to give vague excuses, the MLA firmly rejected them, stating that he had witnessed the incident firsthand. Giving them a stern warning not to repeat such mistakes, Bode Prasad decided to travel in the same bus up to the Gosala center. During his journey, he actively interacted with the passengers on board, particularly encouraging women to make full use of the government’s free bus scheme.
