A sensational kidnapping of a farmer at the RDO (Revenue Divisional Officer) office in Dharmavaram, Sri Sathya Sai district, created a major stir on Friday. The victim, identified as Musugu Narayana, a farmer from Mudigubba mandal, had visited the office to resolve a long-standing land dispute. While he was at the premises, a group of unidentified individuals led by a man named Ravindra allegedly abducted him in broad daylight and sped away in a car.
Upon receiving an immediate complaint from the victim’s family members, the Dharmavaram police swung into action. Utilizing swift coordination, police teams tracked the vehicle and launched a high-speed chase. The pursuit ended near Ramagiri, where the police successfully intercepted the car and rescued Narayana safely. The kidnappers were taken into custody and are currently being interrogated to ascertain the full details of the conspiracy.
This incident has heightened security concerns in the region, coming just two days after a daring ATM theft in the same town. Residents were already on edge following the burglary where a Bolero vehicle was used to uproot an entire ATM machine. While the police have demonstrated efficiency in the kidnapping case, the sequence of such high-profile crimes in a short span has prompted authorities to intensify patrolling and surveillance across Dharmavaram.
