TDP MP Sri Bharat has stated that Visakhapatnam is rapidly evolving into a premier IT and industrial hub, sparking intense competition among international firms for land. He revealed that with the entry of tech giants like Google, several other global organizations are vying for space in the vicinity. According to the MP, the current establishment of data centers is just the beginning of a larger wave of massive investments expected to transform the city’s economic landscape.
The MP criticized the YCP for allegedly trying to take credit for every developmental milestone achieved in the state. He accused the opposition of creating hurdles for Andhra Pradesh’s progress while pretending that current projects are the result of their past efforts. Sri Bharat emphasized that a lack of transparency and opportunistic politics from the opposition has caused significant harm to the state’s growth trajectory over recent years.
Looking toward the future, Sri Bharat highlighted the strategic importance of the Bhogapuram Airport, noting that its completion will significantly boost state revenue and connectivity. He also shared plans to strengthen the rail network, including efforts to secure a Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express and daily services to Bengaluru. With the realization of the dedicated Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, he remains confident that the city will secure more new trains and improved infrastructure to support its rising status.
