BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay, accusing them of playing staged dramas over the arrest of Bandi Bhagirath. KTR pointed out a glaring contradiction in their statements, noting that while Bandi Sanjay claimed his son surrendered, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy declared it an arrest by the police. Labeling both leaders as partners in crime, KTR took a personal jibe at Revanth Reddy, mocking that the Chief Minister is not only short in height but short on intellect as well.
KTR further revealed that efforts were initially made to secure anticipatory bail for Bandi Bhagirath, but the High Court did not rule in his favor. He also criticized the BJP, alleging that its members were responsible for exposing the private details of a victimized girl. He pointed out that around 15 individuals booked by the police in the Petbasheerabad case are all associated with the BJP, highlighting what he considers hypocrisy within the party.
Shifting his focus to broader state issues, the BRS leader criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Telangana, stating that the PM only offered disappointing advice by asking farmers to reduce urea usage and citizens to buy less gold. KTR expressed deep concern over the halted government procurement of paddy, warning that farmers will continue to suffer as long as the Congress remains in power. Taking a final jab at the current state of law and order, KTR remarked that under the present government, gunny bags are impossible for farmers to find, but actual guns seem easily accessible across the state.
