The newly appointed Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film, Television, and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTvTDC), Bharat Bhushan, and Director Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao were grandly felicitated by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony took place at the Film Chamber office in Hyderabad, following the recent formation of the new executive committee by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Prominent producer and Chamber President D. Suresh Babu attended as the chief guest, alongside other key executive body members including Vice President C. Bharat Chowdhury, Secretaries K. Ashok Kumar and K.V.V. Prasad, and Treasurer M. Ramdas, who presented bouquets and shawls to honor the new appointees.
During the event, the Film Chamber representatives expressed their optimism about the future of the industry under the guidance of the newly formed committee. They highlighted that the AP FDC will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and development of cinema in Andhra Pradesh. The members emphasized the need for the committee to collaborate closely with the state government to resolve long-standing challenges related to film shootings, theater issues, and the allocation of government subsidies, while promising their continuous support toward the progress of the Telugu film industry.
The restructuring of the corporation’s executive body has gained significant strategic importance, especially at a time when the Andhra Pradesh government is actively focusing on creating essential infrastructure for the film industry in key regions like Visakhapatnam and Amaravati. By establishing this new leadership team, industry stakeholders hope to bridge the gap between the government and cinema professionals, paving the way for better facilities, simplified permissions, and robust regional growth for arts and entertainment across the state.
