Land prices in Hyderabad have set a staggering new milestone after experiencing immense demand during the latest government land auction. In the public auction conducted by the Telangana Green Industrial and Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIIC), an acre of land touched an unprecedented all-time high of ₹237 crore. This historic bidding unfolded for a land parcel measuring 6 acres and 29 guntas located at Survey Number 83/1 in Pan Maktha, near the prominent IT corridor of Rayadurgam.
A real estate company named ‘Goura Ventures’ emerged as the successful highest bidder to secure this premium property. This acquisition shatters previous benchmarks set in the exact same locality. In October of the previous year, an acre of land in this area had fetched ₹177 crore, accumulating a total revenue of ₹1,357.59 crore for a 7-acre plot. The latest auction clearly indicates an aggressive surge in Hyderabad’s commercial and premium land value within a matter of months.
TGIIIC had initially issued an auction notification for a total of 11.38 acres at this location, setting a base price of ₹139 crore per acre. While the auction for the 6.29 acres consisting of plots 1A and 1F has concluded with this record price, the remaining 5.09 acres under plot number P4 is scheduled for an online auction on June 1. Backed by this phenomenal market response, the corporation confidently estimates to generate a total revenue exceeding ₹2,000 crore from these land sales.
