Donald Trump Reportedly Lashes Out at Benjamin Netanyahu in Aggressive Phone Call.

An unexpected rift has emerged between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, long considered close international allies. According to a report by the American media outlet Axios, Trump expressed severe frustration over Israel’s expanding military operations and airstrikes targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon. Trump allegedly feared that these aggressive military actions would disrupt ongoing back-channel peace negotiations that the United States has been conducting with Iran and Lebanese forces to restore stability in the Middle East.

During the tense phone conversation, Trump reportedly used harsh language and sharply criticized Netanyahu’s decision-making. Official U.S. sources claim that Trump told Netanyahu he would be in prison facing corruption charges if it weren’t for his persistent political support and protection. Trump warned that Israel’s current strategies—specifically flattening entire buildings in Beirut to target single Hezbollah commanders—were causing innocent civilian casualties and leaving Israel globally isolated and disliked.

Following the call, conflicting narratives emerged from both leaders regarding the outcome. On his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed the talk was highly productive, thanking Netanyahu for agreeing to halt major strikes on Beirut and announcing that both sides had agreed to a ceasefire. However, Netanyahu’s office released a contradictory statement, clarifying that he told Trump Israel would continue its military plans in southern Lebanon and would not hesitate to target Beirut if Hezbollah continued attacking Israeli cities, leaving the future of the ceasefire highly uncertain.
