Flames in APSRTC Bus: Passengers Jump Out of Windows to Escape

A major bus accident was narrowly averted today near Gollapudi in NTR district, Andhra Pradesh. Passengers panicked when flames suddenly erupted inside an APSRTC bus traveling from Jaggayyapeta toward Vijayawada. Thanks to the quick thinking and presence of mind shown by the driver, a massive tragedy was prevented, and everyone managed to escape safely.

As the bus reached the Gollapudi area, the driver noticed thick smoke and flames suddenly billowing out of the engine. Alerted immediately, he pulled the bus over to the side of the road and shouted at the passengers to get off the vehicle. Since there was a risk of the fire spreading toward the main exit door, the terrified passengers did not waste a single moment and scrambled out by jumping through the bus windows. Helping one another, everyone managed to get out of the vehicle safely within a matter of seconds.

Upon receiving the information, fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the flames inside the bus completely under control. Both officials and passengers breathed a sigh of relief as no injuries or casualties were reported in this accident. Responding to the incident, RTC and police officials stated that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Authorities revealed that they are inspecting the vehicle to determine the exact cause of the fire, focusing on whether a technical snag like a mechanical failure or a short circuit triggered the mishap.
