The Youth Congress organized a massive protest at Malkajgiri Crossroads against the arrest of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi. The demonstration was led by Youth Congress President G.D. Charanjit Goud, during which protesters burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a mark of protest.
District Youth Congress President Bommaku Ajay also participated in the demonstration. Addressing the gathering, the leaders alleged that the country’s education system had deteriorated under the BJP-led government and accused the Centre of failing to conduct major examinations in a fair and transparent manner.
They further alleged that the government was putting the future of millions of students at risk and criticized the police action against students protesting over examination-related issues. The leaders questioned the use of force against students raising concerns and demanded accountability from the Central Government.
