A 32-year-old man from Madhya Pradesh has filed a police complaint after alleging that he discovered nearly 25 days after his wedding that the person he married is transgender. The case, reported from Shajapur, has attracted significant attention due to the serious allegations of deception surrounding the marriage.
According to the complainant, the wedding took place on June 29 in a temple following Hindu traditions. He claimed to have spent around ₹5 lakh on the ceremony and also paid ₹1 lakh in cash to the bride’s family. The man alleged that he was never informed about his spouse’s gender identity before the marriage.
The victim has reportedly lodged a complaint at Kotwali Police Station against five people, including his in-laws, accusing them of cheating and concealing crucial information. Police have registered the complaint and are expected to investigate the allegations to determine the facts of the case.
