A delegation of YSR Congress Party MPs, led by Parliamentary Party leader Y. V. Subba Reddy, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to raise concerns over the security of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The MPs alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government has failed to provide adequate security arrangements during Jagan’s public tours across the state.
The delegation pointed to the recent Devarapalli visit, claiming that despite a massive public turnout, sufficient police deployment was not arranged. They further alleged that similar security lapses have occurred repeatedly over the past two years during Jagan’s district tours and accused the state government of deliberate negligence.
The YSRCP MPs urged the Union Home Minister to intervene and ensure stronger security arrangements for Jagan Mohan Reddy. According to the party leaders, Amit Shah assured them that the matter would be examined and appropriate action would be taken after reviewing the concerns raised by the delegation.
