Police have busted a major drug trafficking network in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district. In a joint operation conducted by the Special Operations Team (SOT) and local police in Kondamadugu village under the Bibinagar Police Station limits, authorities seized 27 kilograms of mephedrone valued at approximately Rs. 54 crore.
Acting on suspicion, police intercepted a Toyota Fortuner bearing registration number MH-49-CW-1313 on the outskirts of Kondamadugu village. During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found 27 kilograms of mephedrone being transported illegally.
Police also seized around 40 kilograms of acetone liquid, which is reportedly used in the manufacture of drugs. The seized substances and vehicle were taken into custody, while authorities have launched a further investigation into the alleged drug trafficking network and those involved.
