Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said improved road connectivity would help attract industries, expand business activity and create more employment opportunities for local youth. He made the remarks while laying the foundation for ₹219.67 crore worth of Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and non-plan road development works at Garepalli in Sultanabad mandal.
The Minister, along with IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, district in-charge Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Government Whip Chintakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao, Ramagundam MLA Makkansingh Raj Thakur and Collector Koya Sri Harsha, participated in the foundation-laying ceremony. Komatireddy said the government was giving priority to road infrastructure across Telangana. Under the HAM model, the government will contribute 40 per cent of the project cost, while the contractor will bear the remaining 60 per cent. The works are expected to be completed within two years, with field-level activity beginning within a week.
Komatireddy praised Government Whip Vijaya Ramana Rao for his commitment to the development of Peddapalli constituency. He said funds for the Peddapalli bypass were sanctioned soon after the present government assumed office and that the works were progressing. He expressed confidence that improved road infrastructure would strengthen connectivity and contribute to the region’s economic growth.
