Bollywood actress Yami Gautam has joined filmmaker Anand L Rai’s upcoming fantasy family entertainer ‘Nayyi Navelli’. The makers announced her inclusion and unveiled her first-look poster, featuring Yami in a vibrant traditional appearance while humorously pulling off a demon’s head with her dupatta.
Yami will reportedly portray the character of a daayan, with the film blending comedy, family drama and supernatural elements. The story is set against the backdrop of a chaotic Meerut household, where the arrival of a seemingly perfect bride transforms the family’s fortunes but raises suspicions for her brother-in-law.
The film promises a playful supernatural ride built around family eccentricities, mystery and humour. With Anand L Rai at the helm and Yami taking on an unusual fantasy role, Nayyi Navelli is generating curiosity among Bollywood audiences.
