The Andhra Pradesh government has taken key measures to control the rising prices of essential commodities and provide relief to the common people. Under the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, a state ministerial team led by Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar formulated the plan with public welfare as the priority.
As part of the measures, the government has decided to sell onions at ₹32 per kilogram through 115 Rythu Bazaars and mobile shops across the state. The move is aimed at making onions available to consumers at an affordable price amid rising market prices.
Meanwhile, the Centre has agreed to allocate 1.20 lakh metric tonnes of tur dal (kandipappu) to Andhra Pradesh. Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar thanked the central government for approving the allocation and said the measures would help provide relief to consumers.
