Good News for Handloom Workers.. Key Rule Relaxed for Pension Applications

The Andhra Pradesh coalition government has announced good news for handloom workers across the state. Minister Savitha said a key rule in the application process for the ‘Nuthana Nethanna Bharosa Pension’ scheme has been relaxed to provide greater financial support to weavers. Handloom workers applying for the pension will no longer be required to submit their bank account statements. Instead, they only need to provide a Master Weaver certification and details of their wages.

The relaxation is expected to make it easier for eligible handloom workers aged 50 and above to apply for pensions. The government has assured eligible workers that there is no need to worry about the application process. Meanwhile, the state government has also accelerated the registration of new applications under the ‘NTR Bharosa Pension’ scheme, aimed at providing social security and financial support to poor families across Andhra Pradesh.

The new pension application process began on the 7th of this month and has reportedly received a strong response from the public. As many as 6,81,501 applications were registered through Swarna Gram and Swarna Ward centres within just five days. The registration process for new pensions is continuing across the state.
