Aamir Khan’s Peculiar Pre-Flight Ritual: The Perfectionist’s Unique Fear Revealed

Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist,” Aamir Khan, recently shared a surprising habit he follows before every flight during the post-production phase of his films. Driven by an intense dedication to his work and a lingering fear of potential plane crashes, Aamir revealed that he writes a detailed note to his cousin and director, Mansoor Khan, before boarding. The note contains specific instructions on how to complete and maintain the quality of his ongoing film projects in case anything happens to him during the journey.

Aamir explained during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India that the stress peaks when a film is nearing completion. He stated that he trusts Mansoor Khan’s creative vision implicitly, having collaborated with him on classics like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The actor has even informed his ex-wife, Kiran Rao, that Mansoor should be the go-to person for all creative decisions regarding his films if he were to pass away unexpectedly.

While Mansoor Khan moved away from active direction after the year 2000, he continues to play a pivotal role in Aamir Khan Productions as a creative producer. Aamir noted that Mansoor’s guidance was essential for films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and is currently vital for his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming project, Ek Din, co-starring Sai Pallavi. This unique ritual highlights not just Aamir’s anxiety about travel but his unparalleled commitment to ensuring his cinematic legacy remains untarnished.
