Sensational Allegations Against the Finance Minister:
The ongoing political war of words between the ruling TDP and opposition YSRCP over past political assassinations in Andhra Pradesh has intensified significantly. Joining the row, senior YSRCP leader and former Uravakonda MLA Y. Visveswara Reddy leveled sensational allegations against the state Finance Minister, Payyavula Keshav. Speaking at a press conference in Anantapur, Reddy asserted that it was Minister Keshav’s family that pioneered brutal factional politics in the Uravakonda constituency, directly accusing them of orchestrating the horrific murders of his father and brother. He lashed out at the Minister, advising him to look into his own family’s dark history before pointing fingers at YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Alleged Criminal Legacy and Revenge Killings:
Diving deep into past rivalries, Visveswara Reddy severely criticized the Payyavula family’s background, alleging that their wealth was historically built on illicit liquor and adulterated toddy trades. He pointed out that communist parties had previously launched massive public agitations against the alleged atrocities committed by Payyavula Keshav’s father and grandfather. Reddy claimed that because his father, Raketla Narayana Reddy, and his brother, Ravindranath Reddy, actively led those protests to protect the locals, the Payyavula family got them brutally assassinated out of political malice. He asserted that with such a notorious criminal legacy, Keshav possesses absolutely no moral right to criticize the YS family.
Defending Jagan and Condemning the NDA Regime:
Defending his party chief, Visveswara Reddy stated that Jagan Mohan Reddy has always been strictly opposed to factionalism, maintaining that the law-and-order situation across Andhra Pradesh was completely peaceful during the five years of YSRCP rule. Conversely, he expressed deep concern over the current state of affairs, claiming that under the new NDA alliance government, public safety has drastically deteriorated while political vendettas, counter-cases, and physical assaults have surged. He concluded that the TDP is merely running a slander campaign against the YS family to divert attention from its own failures, adding that the people of Uravakonda are fully aware of the Payyavula family’s alleged historical wrongdoings.
