“We Still Have to Round the Kadapa Court”: AP Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha launched a scathing attack on YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during an event in Kanigiri, Prakasam district, where she unveiled a statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar alongside Union Minister Chirag Paswan. Expressing her displeasure, she stated that Dalits faced severe hardships under the previous YSRCP government. She revealed that false atrocity cases were registered against her and MLA MS Raju during that regime, forcing them to routinely attend legal proceedings at the Kadapa court even today.

The Home Minister commended the people of Kanigiri for breaking the traditional norm of installing Ambedkar statues on the outskirts of towns by establishing this one right in the heart of the city with the cooperation of all communities. During the event, she also paid rich tributes to the late veteran leader Ram Vilas Paswan, highlighting his illustrious political legacy of working alongside six different Prime Ministers of India.

Countering the criticisms leveled against the ruling alliance, Anitha questioned the opposition’s selective focus regarding Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam Padayatra. She pointed out that while critics only seem to notice the controversial ‘Red Book’, they conveniently ignore the fact that Lokesh carried the Indian Constitution throughout his entire march to champion public rights.
