Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education Nara Lokesh participated in the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting held at Rampachodavaram in Polavaram district along with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing the gathering, Lokesh said the state government is giving top priority to strengthening government schools and improving the overall quality of education. He announced that all government schools in tribal areas will have permanent buildings by next year. He also said the government has initiated repairs to dilapidated school buildings to provide students with better infrastructure and a conducive learning environment.
The minister stated that public confidence in government schools has increased significantly across the state. According to him, nearly 110,000 students have shifted from private schools to government institutions, reflecting the growing trust in the government’s education policies. He said the improvement in school infrastructure, teaching standards, and welfare initiatives has encouraged more parents to choose government schools for their children.
Lokesh credited teachers and parents for the success of government schools, saying their dedication has played a key role in improving educational outcomes. He remarked that students’ achievements are the government’s best advertisement and urged teachers and parents to act as brand ambassadors for public education. He added that the appearance of “No Admission” boards outside some government schools due to full enrolment is a remarkable milestone in the state’s education sector and a clear indication of the increasing popularity of government schools.
