Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his late-night video message amid the ongoing NEET-UG paper leak controversy and student protests. He accused the Prime Minister of undermining the intelligence and concerns of students instead of addressing the core issues surrounding the examination.
Rahul Gandhi said that students protesting peacefully over the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examination deserve to be heard rather than dismissed. He urged the Prime Minister to take responsibility for the situation and engage with students who have been demanding transparency and accountability in the examination process.
The Congress leader also demanded that Prime Minister Modi issue an immediate apology for the police action against students participating in peaceful protests. He said the government should focus on restoring students’ confidence in the examination system and ensuring strict action against those responsible for the alleged paper leak.
