White plastic chairs used in balconies, terraces, gardens, or outdoor spaces often lose their shine over time due to constant exposure to sunlight, rain, dust, moisture, and daily use. Stubborn yellow and black stains can make them look old, and simple washing with water is usually not enough to remove them. However, you don’t need expensive cleaning products to restore their appearance.
Common kitchen ingredients such as baking soda, lemon, salt, and detergent can effectively remove tough stains and bring back the original shine of plastic chairs. These simple household items offer an affordable and effective cleaning solution without the need to replace old furniture.
For deep cleaning, baking soda works exceptionally well. Mix baking soda with a little water to form a thick paste and apply it directly to the stained areas. Leave it for 10–15 minutes, then gently scrub with a soft sponge or brush. Finally, rinse the chair with clean water and wipe it dry with a cloth to reveal a cleaner and brighter surface.
