MLC Thumati Madhava Rao has been unanimously elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council. Council Chairman Moshen Raju formally announced Madhava Rao’s election following the completion of the proceedings.
After the announcement, Chairman Moshen Raju escorted Madhava Rao to the Deputy Chairman’s seat and congratulated him on his election. Members from all political parties were invited to join the ceremony as Madhava Rao assumed his new position in the Council.
As Deputy Chairman, Madhava Rao will play an important role in conducting and regulating proceedings of the Legislative Council. His responsibilities will include maintaining order in the House, facilitating discussions, and ensuring that members are given an opportunity to express their views during Council proceedings.
