Enforcement Directorate officials on Wednesday questioned actress Nidhhi Agerwal for around four hours at the agency’s Hyderabad office as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged illegal betting applications. The actress appeared before the agency after receiving a summons in connection with allegations concerning payments allegedly made through hawala channels.
During the questioning, ED officials reportedly sought details about the remuneration and commissions Agerwal allegedly received for promoting betting platforms. The investigation is examining financial transactions linked to the promotion of banned betting applications.
Agerwal left the ED office after the questioning without speaking to the media. The probe has also involved several other film personalities, with Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati and Manchu Lakshmi previously questioned by the agency in connection with the case.
