Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) and Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited Additional Managing Director B. Ajit Reddy has directed officials to speed up the metro rail expansion works in Hyderabad’s Old City. As per the directions of the Chief Minister, he instructed officials to complete the works at the earliest with the aim of providing better public transportation facilities to local residents.
During his visit, Ajit Reddy inspected the ongoing road widening works along the 7.5-kilometre Old City Metro corridor from Darul Shifa to Chandrayangutta. He conducted the field inspection along with Metro Rail Chief Engineer S. Bhaskar Reddy and reviewed the progress of the works on the ground.
Officials were instructed to coordinate effectively and accelerate the ongoing activities to ensure timely completion of the project. The Old City Metro expansion is expected to improve connectivity and provide more convenient public transport options for people living and working in the surrounding areas.
