The “Honey Trap” allegations involving Tollywood actress and social media influencer Ashu Reddy have sparked a major controversy in the Telugu states. Dharmendra, a software engineer, has come forward with sensational claims, alleging that Ashu and her family members defrauded him under the pretext of marriage. According to the FIR, Dharmendra claims that between 2018 and 2025, approximately ₹9.35 crore was extracted from him in the form of cash and assets.
Dharmendra stated that Ashu Reddy initially took large sums of money citing education loans, visa issues, and expenses for her film career. He alleges that his funds were used to purchase a flat in Manikonda (with a ₹1.80 crore advance), nearly 5 kg of gold, and several luxury cars. The victim further claimed that whenever he asked for his money back, Ashu would allegedly threaten to take her own life and even attempted suicide twice in the past to silence him.
In response to these serious accusations, Ashu Reddy took to social media to firmly deny all claims. She labeled the reports as misinformation and a targeted smear campaign against her. The actress warned that she would be taking legal action against those spreading false news. As the police investigation continues, this case remains a hot topic in both the film industry and political circles.
