Kollywood superstar Dhanush is set to return to the big screen tomorrow, April 30, 2026, with his latest outing titled ‘Kara.’ The film is scheduled for a simultaneous grand release in both Tamil and Telugu, following high-profile promotional efforts. Directed by the talented Vignesh Raja, the movie has generated significant buzz among fans and critics alike, especially after a successful pre-release event held in Hyderabad where Dhanush personally interacted with the Telugu audience.
The film is a period action thriller set against the intense backdrop of the 1991 Gulf War and the subsequent fuel crisis that impacted India. ‘Kara’ reportedly follows the journey of an ordinary man caught in extraordinary, life-threatening circumstances. The movie has officially cleared censor formalities with a U/A certificate and features a comprehensive runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes, promising a detailed and immersive cinematic experience.
Produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the Vels Film International banner, the project features Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and boasts a soundtrack composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
