Hanamkonda Protest: Former Minister Harish Rao Detained by Police

Tension prevailed at the Hanamkonda Collectorate premises on Thursday as a protest organised by Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers (TNGOs) over government employees’ issues turned intense. Several senior BRS leaders participated in the protest and strongly criticised the government’s handling of employees’ concerns.

After the protest concluded, former minister Harish Rao left the Collectorate premises towards the Polytechnic College. However, police stopped him and took him into custody. The development led to heightened tension in the area.

Following his detention, Harish Rao was taken to the Subedari Police Station in Hanamkonda. The police action drew attention amid the ongoing protest by government employees seeking solutions to their long-pending demands.
