BRS senior leader and former minister Harish Rao has strongly criticized the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that it has turned into a real estate agency by handing over highly valuable government lands in the heart of the city to private individuals. He accused the Revanth Reddy-led government of ignoring the welfare of Telangana society and distributing assets worth thousands of crores at throwaway prices for commissions.
Harish Rao made these allegations in a detailed open letter addressed to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He questioned the government’s decisions regarding the allocation of valuable government properties and alleged that such actions could deprive the public of assets that belong to the state. He particularly raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the allocation of Azamabad lands.
The former minister demanded clarity from the government over the entire land allocation process and questioned the rationale behind such decisions. Harish Rao alleged that public assets should be protected for the benefit of future generations rather than being transferred to private interests. His open letter has brought the issue of government land allocations back into the political spotlight in Telangana.
