A candlelight rally was organised at the Udayagiri Bus Stand Circle in Nellore district to mark three years since TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested. The rally was held under the leadership of former Udayagiri MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, with TDP leaders and party workers participating and raising slogans in support of Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking on the occasion, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy recalled Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest and subsequent 53-day imprisonment. He alleged that Chandrababu was arrested illegally for fighting for the people and democracy. Despite being kept in jail for 53 days, he said, Chandrababu Naidu did not back down or lose his determination.
The rally highlighted the TDP cadre’s continued support for Chandrababu Naidu and their opposition to his arrest. Party leaders and workers paid tribute to his perseverance and reiterated their commitment to his leadership and the cause of democracy.
